In this two-day advanced creative nonfiction workshop, we will work from material ephemera that cultivate memories of family and/or place such as physical objects, letters, recordings, and/or photographs. Our focus will be on rendering the stories we want to tell into words, and on relying on solid details and rich imagery to give color and life to our pages. Students are encouraged to bring two to four physical objects, letters, recordings, or photographs to class for the first day.

Anyone is welcome to register for this workshop, although those who are familiar with the creative nonfiction genre will benefit the most from this intensive, including those who have taken a previous creative nonfiction workshop and have in the past or are currently writing creative nonfiction.
