Inprint Senior Memoir Workshop at the ERJCC

This is an in-person workshop for senior citizens.

Presented in collaboration with the Evelyn Rubenstein Jewish Community Center of Houston

Inprint, Houston’s leading literary arts nonprofit organization, offers a 8-week Inprint Senior Memoir Workshops for senior citizens. The Inprint Senior Memoir Workshop will help participants preserve their stories and family histories through a variety of creative writing exercises. Participants will delve firsthand into what makes memoir a unique and captivating literary form. Together participants will learn how to write about the past in a way that brings what one has experienced to life. Whether you are writing for your grandchildren or publication, these classes will help you find your voice on the page in a fun and supportive environment.

About the instructor

The workshop will be led by MARY S DAWSON.  She has taught American Literature, Creative Writing, and Advanced Creative Writing at Episcopal High School. In 2008, she earned an MFA in creative writing from Bennington College.  She is currently working on a collection of short stories and her first novel, Remembering What’s Forgotten.
