GORDON KORMAN published his first book at age 14 and has written almost 100 middle-grade and teen novels. He is the New York Times bestselling author of the Ungifted, Masterminds, and Swindle series, and his books have been translated into 32 languages.

His latest novel, Operation Do-Over, is a hilarious new friendship story in the vein of Back to the Future. Mason and Ty were best friends in middle school, but they grew apart after a pesky girl came along. Yet after a freak accident, 17-year-old Mason finds himself magically transported back to seventh grade. His parents aren’t yet divorced, his beloved sheepdog is still alive, and he and Ty haven’t had their falling-out yet. Will Mason be able to stop the chain of events that made his previous life implode?

According to Kirkus, “Watching Mason learn from mistakes and explore new aspects of himself is vicariously satisfying, and the sheer fascination of his predicament will keep readers turning pages, anxious to find out if he succeeds.” The Bulletin Center for Children’s Books adds, “Korman’s signature blend of comedy, drama, and middle-grade angst will leave readers with a warm fuzzy feeling.”

Also the author of Unplugged, Notorious, The Unteachables, and Pop, Gordon is the recipient of the Charlie May Simon Children’s Book Award, the Anne V. Zarrow Award for Young Readers’ Literature, the Young Hoosier Book Award, and the  Vine Awards YA/Children’s Lit Prize. He lives with his family on Long Island, New York.
