Inprint is proud to serve as a host for the First Friday Poetry Reading Series. The First Friday Series is the oldest poetry series in Houston and has been held monthly on the first Friday of each month since 1975. The series is coordinated and curated by Robert Clark. Each reading begins with a featured poet, followed by an open mic. On June 7, 2019, First Friday presents Toni Holland.

Toni Holland, current President of the Fulbright Association Houston/Southeast Chapter. She is Cinepoetry Curator for REEL Poetry/Houston’ and serves on the Steering Committee of Houston Poetry Fest 2019. On the Library of Congress website, her dissertation is listed as a resource on US Poets Laureate. Her awards include being first runner-up for an Academy of American Poets University Prize at UT, and being named a University Scholar at UTA Residencies and fellowships include study abroad as a Fulbright Scholar, studying at the University of Leicester, the University of Alberta, Millay Colony for the Arts, Vermont Studio Center, and at Shakespeare & Company in Paris, France. Her work has appeared in Illya’s Honey, Jelly Bucket, Tau, Rip Rap, and Poetry International: CinEpoetry, New Letters.
