Inprint is proud to serve as a host for the First Friday Poetry Reading Series. The First Friday Series is the oldest poetry series in Houston and has been held monthly on the first Friday of each month since 1975. The series is coordinated and curated by Robert Clark. Each reading begins with a featured poet, followed by an open mic.

First Friday presents Saba Husain on Friday, August 3. Saba Husain’s poems have appeared in Cimarron Review, Barrow Street, Natural Bridge, Reunion: The Dallas Review, The Texas Review, Kill Line: Anklebiters Press, The Southern Poetry Anthology, Volume VIII: Texas, The Missing Slate, Jaggery, Glass: a Journal of Poetry, and Enchantment of the Ordinary(Mutabilis Press). Winner of the Lorene Pouncey Memorial Award at the 2014 Houston Poetry Fest, and a finalist for the New Letters Poetry Prize, she has read her poetry at First Friday, Houston Poetry Fest, Words and Art, and Poetry Fix. She has a Bachelors in Creative Writing from the University of Houston.
