Inprint is proud to serve as a host for the First Friday Poetry Reading Series. The First Friday Series is the oldest poetry series in Houston and has been held monthly on the first Friday of each month since 1975. The series is coordinated and curated by Robert Clark. Each reading begins with a featured poet, followed by an open mic.

First Friday presents a reading by John Pluecker on March 2. John Pluecker, bIlingual writer, translator, interpreter, and artist, with publication in BOMB Magazine, ArtForum, the Vola, Mandorla, Fence, and HTMLGiant; co-founder in 2010, with Jen Hofer, of the language justice and literary experimentation collaborative Antena; a promoter of experimental poetics, radical aesthetics and cross-border cultural production; member of Macondo Writing Workshop; translator from Spanish of Gore Capitalism (Semiotext(e), 2018) and Antígona González (Les Figues Press, 2016); author of several chapbooks, most recently An Accompanying Text (She Works Flexible, 2015). His book of poetry and image is Ford Over, released in 2016 from Noemi Press. He will be signing copies of Ford Over and his translations Antígona González and Tela de Sevoya/Onion Skin.
