Acclaimed Lebanese American writer and author of An Unnecessary Woman, Rabih Alemeddine, and Juan Gabriel Vásquez, author of the international bestseller The Sound of Things Falling, which won the 2014 International IMPAC Dublin Literary Award, read from their newest books, The Angel of History and Reputations, as part of the 2016-2017 Inprint Margarett Root Brown Reading Series at the Alley Theater on November 21, 2016. The reading was followed by an on-stage interview conducted by University of Houston Creative Writing Program faculty member and American Book Award winner Chitra Divakaruni.
