Inprint Writing Workouts provide free opportunities for individuals to be introduced to creative writing in a variety of settings. Writing in a stimulating environment is a powerful way to spark new ideas and engage with the world around you. Workouts have been conducted in flooded communities, senior centers, hospitals, and art museums.

Workouts usually meet on-site for 1-2 hours and are led by accomplished local authors, including students, alumni, and faculty from the prestigious University of Houston Creative Writing Program. Most workouts include generative writing sessions and the sharing of work. Though workouts do not allow time for in-depth feedback of participants’ work, they are a great way to find new inspiration or try your hand at creative writing for the first time.
