Pulitzer Prize winner Viet Thanh Nguyen read from his work as part of the 2017/2018 Inprint Margarett Root Brown Reading Series on Monday, November 13, 2017, at Stude Concert Hall, Rice University. The reading was followed by an on-stage interview conducted by Houston native and veteran William Broyles, founding editor of Texas Monthly, an Academy-Award nominated screenwriter, and the author of Brothers In Arms, an account of his return to Vietnam to meet the men and women he fought against during the war.
