Celebrated poets Clint Smith and Patricia Smith appeared as part of the 2023/2024 Inprint Margarett Root Brown Reading Series, on Monday, February 12, 2024, at Zilkha Hall, Hobby Center for Performing Arts. As part of the event, Clint Smith read from his new poetry collection Above Ground, Patricia Smith read from her new collection Unshuttered, and both authors had an on-stage conversation with Houston Poet Laureate Aris Kian. Inprint Executive Director Rich Levy introduced the evening.
