SUMMARY:Teachers-As-Writers Creative Prose Workshop 2023-213/In-Person
DESCRIPTION:This is an in-person workshop that takes place at Inprint House. \n \nThis workshop is tuition-free and only open for K-12 educators\, there is a $45 registration fee. Up to 18 CPE hours are available for this workshop.  \nAs teachers\, we don’t often get the time to experiment with creative writing. In this workshop\, we will become writers who create and share works of prose in many forms: from lyric essay to memoir to poetry to fiction. We will engage in generative exercises and study diverse prose poetic forms side by side with works of experimental short fiction to better understand the relatedness between prose forms\, find foundations for our own creative expression and discover the possibilities available to us when we dare to break outside of prescriptive boxes. We will workshop these pieces together in an open-minded and supportive environment with the goal of practicing constructive feedback. Every educator is welcome\, regardless of prior writing experience. \n
