DESCRIPTION:Creative nonfiction isn’t just one thing. It’s a genre of genres\, really. And this generative workshop will serve as an introduction to and an experiment in several of those genres\, such as memoir\, personal essay\, literary journalism\, ethnography\, and mixed media\, incorporating techniques of collage to include photography and audio recordings. We will focus on developing your writing in these (and other!) genres for publication\, and we will also engage in exercises along the way that you will be able to adapt and share in your classrooms. All\, whether first-timers or old hands\, are welcome! \n
