What goes into picking the right agent and writing the perfect query letter? And what about sealing the deal with that agent, getting your book sent out to publishers, negotiating a book contract, promoting and publicizing your book, and more?

The path to getting your book published can seem confusing and daunting, but this intensive will offer a crash course in all the steps involved to help you get on top of the game and give your book the best chance possible in the competitive publishing world. In addition to covering the steps to publication, we will read and analyze query letter examples before critiquing your own query letters the next day. Participants should have completed or should be nearing completion of their novels (adult or kids’), short story collections, memoirs, or nonfiction proposals, and should come prepared to discuss their projects and write/polish their query letters.
