DESCRIPTION:Please note that this is an online workshop conducted via Zoom. Participants will be provided information on how to join the online sessions. \nThis workshop is full\, please sign up on the waiting list here so you receive priority registration the next time this class is offered. \nHouse of Craft \nThis class is open to writers at all experience levels. It is ideal for writers who want an introduction to\, or refresher on\, the elements of poetry and revision technique. \nEach week we will visit a new room in the House of Craft\, according to the course’s scaffolded instruction: structure & form\, prosody & music\, the line\, metaphor\, and the image system. Ultimately\, this is a revision workshop\, and the idea is that you will revise a poem each week depending on the craft room we are in and receive feedback on your revision from the class. You will be asked to read at least one essay each week and we will discuss classic craft essays and essays by poets writing today—from Denise Levertov to Ocean Vuong—but\, by the end of the course\, you will undoubtedly have developed your own theories and approaches\, your own process. \n  \n
