SUMMARY:Poetry 2015-307
DESCRIPTION:The objective of this class is for each member to identify his/her poetic identity within the vast tradition of poetry; to interrogate intention\, writing practice\, and the affects on the writing process; to somehow navigate the diverse landscape of poetry using the histories and interests of the group as our compass. Each session will be comprised of the following in whatever order becomes necessary: guided writing practice; craft talk\, reading on craft with discussion of selected poets and poems; and review and critque group member’s poems. Poets\, poems\, and schools of poetry considered for discussion will largely be selected based on tastes and stylistic characteristics of the group. \n
