Inprint is proud to serve as the host for the First Fridays Reading Series. The First Fridays Reading Series is the oldest poetry series in Houston and was organized by Robert Clark from 1975-2019. Today, First Fridays are curated and hosted by local community members.

Readings are held on the first Friday of each month. The program will include a featured reader, followed by an open mic.

Our original featured poet for May, John Gorman, is not able to attend on Friday. Sandi Stromberg will be our new featured poet. She is thrilled that her new book is here & ready for sale.

Sandi Stromberg has been an award-winning magazine feature writer and editor, translator, columnist, contributing editor with publications in Europe and the United States. But thanks to an unexpected move to Houston years ago, she found her true love: poetry, and often poetry in response to art.

Her poetry has been nominated three times for a Pushcart Prize and twice for Best of the Net. Most recently, it has appeared in The Orchards Poetry Journal, The Ekphrastic Review, Panoply, MockingHeart Review, San Pedro River Review, and the anthology woodlands: nature-magic-mystery-myth. It has also been translated into Dutch and published in Brabant Cultureel in the Netherlands.
