Join Inprint at The Menil Drawing Institute for a curator talk and interactive writing activity that will flex your creative muscles in the exhibition Fragments of Memory. Experience for yourself the rewards and pleasures of creative writing.

Fragments of Memory, a selection of works from the Menil’s permanent collection, explores the ways in which the past imbues the present. In their drawings, the featured artists take up commonplace embodiments of personal and collective memory, such as scrapbooks, snapshots, notes, relics, and odes, to reimagine how we might access fraught memories and contested histories. In the hands of these artists, such as Jasper Johns, Sari Dienes, Gael Stack, and Luc Tuymans, among others, the past becomes replete with possibility, proposing new understandings of our present. Writer and Inprint Prize Winner Adele Elise Williams will guide attendees in this free two hour workshop centered around themes from the exhibition. No prior creative writing workshop experience needed.
