Senior citizens in particular have had rich lives with a variety of life experiences. So much can be gained by getting those stories on the page. For seniors\, sharing and documenting one’s life stories can serve as a great form of self-reflection and intellectual stimulation. For future generations\, these stories can serve as an important source of family\, neighborhood\, and community history.  \nThis Inprint Senior Memoir Workshop will help participants learn how to write about the past in a way that brings what one has experienced to life on the page. Through a variety of creative and fun weekly in-class writing activities and short readings of excerpts of fiction\, nonfiction\, and poetry\, the class will help participants find and strengthen their writing voice in a supportive and encouraging environment. While this class is based in memoir writing and writing from one’s own experiences\, all forms of writing are welcome and will be celebrated. All participants will be invited to share their work during the classes\, but none will be required. The class and all related activities are designed for all experience levels. \nThe Inprint Senior Memoir Workshops at Finnigan Park are generously underwritten by Robin Angly and Miles Smith. \n URL: LOCATION:Finnigan Park Community Center\, 4900 Providence St\, Houston\, 77020\, United States CATEGORIES:Writers Workshops ATTACH;FMTTYPE=image/jpeg: END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR
