Join Inprint online at 12 pm noon Central Time on Wednesday, June 30, as we celebrate the stories of our elders. Participants in the Inprint Senior Memoir Workshop at Harris County Precinct One’s Finnigan Park Community Center in the Fifth Ward will read short pieces from their work written during a weekly class that has been meeting online since mid March under the instruction of Houston writer and Inprint fellowship recipient Josie Mitchell.

As part of the event, an Inprint staff member and workshop leader Josie Mitchell will make brief introductions, followed by brief readings by the workshop participants. Participants will share touching pieces about their lives, families, community, and their neighborhoods. Readers include Rochelle Brackman, Florence Carter, Fritzy Dean, and Louise Villejo.

This particular Inprint Senior Memoir Workshop for Harris County Precinct One has been offered free to area senior citizens for more than 15 years.

Special thanks to Robin Angly and Miles Smith for their longstanding support of this program, this year in honor of Pulitzer Prize winner and former Inprint fellowship recipient and Inprint Senior Memoir Workshop at Finnigan Park workshop instructor Jericho Brown.
