Getting Your Work Published Online 2020-207

Course #2020-207
Saturdays Starting August 8 10:00 am–12:00 pm running 4 weeks
Cost: $180 Instructor: Laura Biagi
This workshop is full

Please note that this is an online workshop conducted via Zoom. Participants will be provided information on how to join the online sessions.

So you’ve got a great novel or memoir. Now what? How do you know when it’s ready to be sent out to an agent? And how exactly do you send it out to an agent? What goes into picking the right agent and writing the perfect query letter? And what about sealing the deal with that agent, getting your book sent out to publishers, negotiating a book contract, promoting and publicizing your book, and more?

The path to getting your book published can seem confusing and daunting, but over several sessions, this class will offer a crash course in all the steps involved to help you get on top of the game and give your book the best chance possible in the competitive publishing world. In addition to covering the steps to publication, we will read and analyze query letter examples before critiquing your own query letters. Participants should be working on novels (adult or kids’), short story or essay collections, or memoirs and should come prepared to discuss their projects and write/polish their query letters.
