Course #2020-101
Tuesdays Starting April 14 7:00 pm–8:30 pm running 6 weeks
Cost: $210 Instructor: Josie Mitchell
This workshop is full
Please note that this is an online workshop conducted via Zoom. Participants will be provided information on how to join the online sessions.
This completely online workshop will focus on the basics of fiction writing: setting, characterization, clock, point of view, story structure and diction. To unpack these elements of fiction craft we will read and analyze published short stories by established and emerging writers. With generative writing prompts we will sharpen our skills through imitation and innovation and through workshop critique of writer’s works-in-progress we will support each other in our risk-taking and foster a community of writers. This will be a great class for those trying to write for the first time as well as those that have been writing for some time.
