DESCRIPTION:This is an in-person workshop that takes place at Inprint House. \n \nThis intensive will focus on the revision of long-form nonfiction works-in-progress. Students will revisit the structuring of various nonfiction forms such as memoir\, biography\, braided essay\, ekphrastic works\, reviews\, and autotheory. Students will read and respond to contemporary nonfiction authors like Alexander Chee\, Ingrid Rojas Contreras\, and Hanif Abdurraqib\, complete generative exercises\, and workshop each other’s work. We will also touch upon the basics of the publishing industry\, such as the art of pitching and querying agents. \n
