A Reading by the Inprint Creative Writing Workshop at Ben Taub participants
Join us for an evening of storytelling by participants in the Inprint Creative Writing Workshop at Ben Taub, presented by Harris Heath Employee Wellness, in cooperation with the Baylor College of Medicine Narrative Medicine Program and Inprint. This 9-week workshop—led by poet Cait Weiss Orcutt, a PhD candidate at the UH Creative Writing Program and author of VALLEYSPEAK—offered Harris Health and affiliated medical school employees an opportunity to craft their personals stories and help to shape the stories of others, with the goal of using writing and reading to improve wellness, empathy, and communication.
The participants will read pieces they wrote during the workshop on a variety of subjects, preceded by brief remarks from the instructor. Come share in the delight of hearing heartfelt stories and supporting the work of emerging writers
This workshop is made possible by a generous grant from the Harris County Hospital District Foundation.
