Jennifer Egan is the author of the 2011 Pulitzer Prize and National Book Critics Circle Award-winning novel A Visit from the Goon Squad. Her other major works include the bestseller The Keep, the National Book Award finalist Look at Me, and The Invisible Circus, made into a feature film starring Cameron Diaz. Egan’s latest novel Manhattan Beach has been described by Booklist as “a propulsive, surprising, ravishing, and revelatory saga, a covertly profound page-turner that will transport and transform every reader.”

Claire Messud’s bestselling books include the New York Times Notable Book The Woman Upstairs and The Emperor’s Children, longlisted for the Man Booker Prize and named a best book of the year by The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, and The Washington Post. About her latest New York Times bestseller, the Los Angeles Times writes “[Messud] is an absolute master storyteller and bafflingly good writer…It is that combination of imagination and skill that makes The Burning Girl exceptional.”

Egan and Messud will appear as part of the 2017/2018 Inprint Margarett Root Brown Reading Series later that evening. For more details click here.
