DESCRIPTION:\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPlease note that this is an online workshop conducted via Zoom. Participants will be provided information on how to join the online sessions.\n\n“Creative nonfiction” isn’t just one kind of story. This once-a-week\, six-week course will serve as an introduction to several kinds\, or genres\, of nonfiction\, including the personal essay\, the profile\, travel writing and memoir. The intention is to practice a range of the tools writers work with in an open setting\, where you can receive encouragement and supportive criticism. We’ll make use of “microassignments\,” writing exercises\, li’l lectures and lively discussion of ours and others’ pieces to reach a usable understanding of nonfiction in general.
